AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS

I can see what will make your writing project stand out, and I can help you make that happen.

Before becoming a freelance writer and editor 20+ years ago, I was managing editor for a family of trade magazines. And before that, I was an editorial assistant who learned the art of shaping words and the business realities of publishing.

I’ve written or edited hundreds of articles, reports, brochures, speaking notes, web pages, academic materials, short stories, fiction and memoir manuscripts, and the occasional dissertation.

I can see what will make your writing project stand out, and I can help you make that happen.

Also, I pay attention to detail — not just with style and grammar, but with flow and the logic of what you want to say. (I’ve actually wondered if I’m a tiny bit obsessive. Fortunately, in my line of work that would be a good thing.)

You’ll learn cool stuff. I love to share tips.

If you prefer to learn in a more structured way, I offer workshops and coaching sessions. You or your people can learn how to write and speak with more impact and clarity.

Clients have described me as approachable and fun to work with. (One talented and obviously discerning graphic designer said he fell in love a little bit when I changed “is comprised of” to “comprises,” but maybe that’s just him.)

Want to know more? You can read my full résumé here.

If you think we might be a good fit working together, get in touch — I’d love to chat with you about your writing project. No obligation.
